Can't renew broadband due to technical error

Hi, I have been a BT broadband customer for over 10years. My c9ntract is up for renewal and when I phone by or go online either via the app or the webpage I get a #con0048 error. The problem was allegedly reported over a week ago but still unresolved despite several tedious phone calls. Can anyone help me I'm not sure if this error affects whether or not I can get my broadband elsewhere and this is so frustrating the customer service is a disgrace

They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.

Have you tried calling 0800 800 030, they are BT UK customer options?

@Claireew I'm sorry about that, have you spoken to our customer options team on 0800 800 030 as they'll be able to offer you a contract renewal deal and place the order for you.

surprised options team cannot give you same deal as you get online - unless you are trying to get one of the new customer deals which don't apply to existing customers

On my by it gives me an exclusive offer to upgrade and stay with bt I don't think that would be for new customers only - it says just for you!

that is for you as an existing customer but really surprised options team cannot see that when you tell them your account number  have you tried options team on number mod posted
