Cancel BT on behalf of elderly parent

Hi There

My mum has moved into a carehome and I need to cancel her account with BT.  How do I go about this?

Re: Cancel BT on behalf of elderly parent

you would need to phone CS 150 to cancel - are you authorised on the BT account otherwise it needs to be your mother

Re: Cancel BT on behalf of elderly parent

You need to call BT 0800.800.150 to cancel.

Be prepared that it may not be straight forward because you are not the account holder.

If the account holder has asked you to contact BT on their behalf, then you're authorised.
It's the account holders permission you need to be authorised.

You will need to be validated, so security questions will be asked, you'll also have to give a full 30 days notice of the cease.
