Cancellation charges

I had to cancel my BT broadband and phone services due to a re-possesion oif my rented flat by the landlords as they wanted to sell it. Looking at an email BT sent me it seems as though they want to charge £365 for thiis.

I was wondering how I can appeal against this as the circumstances of my leaviing the property and havong to cancel the contract were outside of my control.

Anye advice/help appreciated.

Re: Cancellation charges

Hi @oldgreygary Sorry you are been forced to move out of your property.

The cancellation charge will apply if you do cancel your services whilst still in contract. You can take your contract with you if you home move your services to your new address.

Cheers

Re: Cancellation charges

unfortunately, I have had to move into temp. accommodation. So, I could not take the service with me. I was hoping that BT would see this as exceptional circumstances. I do have official documentation with prroof. So, perhaps I ought to send that to BT?
