Cancellation of package

I am having a nightmare trying to speak to a real person. My husband lost his job so we have an outstanding bill, I wish to cancel my package in the mean time so it does not increase or speak to someone about a more reasonable priced package however I get fobbed off to either pay my bill or you cannot speak to me? Frustrated is not the word!! When I did speak to an advisor the other day they were very rude and not helpful at all. Anyone have any tips on what my next steps can be please.

I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.
They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.
