Mine would not work via the Android email app since BT email ver 19. Followed all advice & changed all server settings as requested but now't worked, so basically gave up & accessed via web instead.
I am guessing you had been moved on to ver. 2.20.2, which I believe is the latest incarnation.

If you read all the thread you will see that the OP is on the BTMail Basic version which is designed NOT to work with an email client/app and that the problem she has is that she can not access her email via webmail.
Thanks, appreciate your reply and help. I am attempting to contact BT...however it takes forever to get through to them, I have tried on several days...will keep trying.
Best of luck Donna,
I am now using ver 2.20.2 of their email app via Chrome & is a little better with just a few niggles.
Problem I have found is that when you are asking for advice, sometimes all you seem to get from some of the "distinguished sage's" on here is sarcasm, which is not what you need when you are just asking for help.
Just a thought, you are not using a VPN are you, because I had a lot of issues when BT upgraded there security protocols & then I could not access email with VPN enabled using UK server's but could if I selected a non-UK server (go figure)?
No one at BT seemed to be able to explain to me as to why though....
Hi, No not using VPN. Just normal wifi at home. Its more frustrating that the email account has been working fine for all this time, other than the migration changes, which I resolved. I've had my account for over 14years (yes ancient 🙂
I got through to BT, I'm just waiting for the guy to call me back.
To now encounter this problem, is just time consuming. When you just want to resolve it easily. Thanks for you tips, always appreciate any help from the community as everyone's experience is vaulable and valid.
