Yeah this is what I checked and posted back in my first post. I can get ultrafast gigabit internet, yet the checker on the bt site says full fibre isn't available in my area, when i'm already on it.
Hi all had a bit of a mess with my ordered which is finally sorted now same with everyone else package appeared online then went. I was able to upgrade calling customer services in the end.
Just wanted to know what prices everyone have been quoted for this service.
I was on Fibre 250 Broadband and Calls £64.99 with a £5 discount on the Halo 1. Paying £59.99 (7 months left on old contract).
New price for the 900Mbps £66.99 New 24 month contract.
Not G.Fast @SeanD , FTTP fibre to prem on a new build confirmed with Open Reach capable of up to 1GB. Confirmed on the phone by a BT engineer and briefly displayed on the BT website before the internal staff were told to recall offering the service.
You're not really telling us anything new here of when the issue will be fixed, your website is a joke - it shows a max speed of this:
Meanwhile I can get up to 330MB when calling but OpenReach confirmed this:
When can BT pull their finger out and sort out their systems to offer people the correct speeds? No need for any engineer visits. I feel like i'm locked into a poor contract as a new customer with BT engineers saying different things over the phone. Is there a complaints contact number?
Unfortunately they don’t have a clue, I got upgraded to 900 but I’ve had no speed increase.
I have spoken to the fibre team first person said my hub needed a firmware update, but wasn’t sure when this would happen. Second person said my profile was still capped and they would send out a new hub and request my upload to be sorted out.
my new hub cam today and it’s still the same 330 down 51 up, phoned the fibre team again to be told something completely different so I have tried to downgrade but can’t get my original deal so I have given up.
Seems just like my experience, upgraded around the 25th/26tg of March speeds went down. Few days later after a few calls fault logged and Openreach engineer came out to investigate. Closed the fault off that evening and was told they instructed BT to downgrade my package back to 250. Put me back on my original plan lost my discount plus my phone line was on a pay as you go service. Prior to the upgrade I had free evening and weekend calls. Several calls to try and get me back on the 900Mbps resulted in many days lost due to the 250 order not being closed off. This morning my service was upgraded to the 900Mbps. Not a great experience so far and performance has been very erratic to be honest.
@CaperActually I think 64.99 is Fibre 250 + Halo 1 + Complete Wifi
Interestingly Complete Wifi is typically a 10ppm addon except for Fibre 250 where it was a 5ppm addon!
