Cannot upgrade online to Full Fibre 900

I get the standard fibre and then 150 or 300.

I don’t even get that, my options are fibre 250 which I believe is the same as the new fibre 300 or 80mb even though the dsl checker confirms 1000 is available

Yes, I'm in the same boat. 

I did some digging around and found the below,

BT Openreach web site states I can get 900mb

Zen is offering me 900mb 

BT Broadband checker states 900mb 

95% of my street can get 900mb but my maximum package is 300mb. It would be nice if some one can help but looks like no one will assist

I have just checked zen for my address and funnily enough they are offering me the 900mb package too.

BT do also offer it if I was a new customer, but they don’t seem to overly care for an existing customer with the issue as they’re already taking my money.

Zen is a bit more expensive but I’m seriously considering paying the extra and moving if BT aren’t willing or able to sort it

Just a quick update for anybody in the same situation as myself....

Couple of months ago I had FTTP installed on the Full Fibre 250 which is essentially the 300 package.

My online bt checker was showing 150/300/900 available so i called up to ask and query that the new packages are actually 150/500/900 and that i was looking to get moved to the 500 even though it wasn't showing as after all as has been stated previously why pay the same as somebody who was getting the 500 for the same price as i am paying for 300!

Guy checked for me and straight away said that the 500 was available and switched me straight away for the same price. Interesting as 500 still not showing as a selection for me...just 150/300/900.

Long story short if you are in the same situation it would be worth a call!!

We also managed to get 900 in the end. However we’re very disappointed. Max speeds Wi-fi are about 300 in the same room. Wired it fluctuates between 500-700. We use an Orbi mesh router and with Virgin get the full 200 we pay for so we’ve cancelled BT within our 14 day period and are upgrading to 500 with VM to see if we get the full speed.

Ive tried over months, being promised 900 then gone back on that. I'm now going with Talk talk who are offering faster speeds than bt can offer with their new fttp fibre service at almost half the price. Guess we'll see.

I'm still fighting with BT 🤪 and now started the complaints process.

I was chatting to my neighbour 2 doors up and he had a similar issue with me but finally got it resolved (no speed above 300mb package)

Another dissatisfied soon to be ex BT customer if they continue to not offer FTTP 900 because we are existing customer. Have logged two complaints with BT and were told we needed to speak to OpenReach to get connection upgraded. OpenReach say the instruction has to come from BT. 

Zen and other providers will take our order. Come on BT, our contract is up next week and we don’t want to leave. But you’re not giving us any reason to stay. 

Some people on this thread seem to have got it sorted but everyone I’ve spoken to at BT has been unable or unwilling to help.

I am trying to upgrade too!

I see it online on their page but under my account not available even o cheacked open reach and even EE which offer 900mb package for me.

I am on 250mb rn, open reach stating 1000mb available ,new build house.

Lady on chat had no clue what I am asking for.

Could some of the mods here help me please?
