Had a bt engineer out a fortnight ago when he left my speed was 60Mbps now down to 40Mbps he said my extension lead to pc upstairs was causing the problem i have now moved my router next to the main bt socket. Will the line uncap and the speed return to 60Mbps

post stats if hh6 then advanced settings then technical log information
are you now connected directly to the master socket?
any line noise dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone
Line test ok piks not great as using mobile phone
Yess directly to master socket
your connection time is only 1hr is that due to manual reset or router dropping connection
you are in a banded profile probably due to the number of resets you have had either with manually resetting/moving hub or hub resetting or a combination of both you now need to maintain a stable connection with no resets and see if DLM will release banding and speed increase this could take a few weeks

Moved home hub this morning will monitor it the next couple of weeks. I was under the impression that capping needed a manual reset. Thanks.
any drop in your internet connection due moving hub, resetting, power cut etc is seen by DLM as a drop in connection and to many trigger the banded profile action
that's great move to master socket seems to really have helped
