Casting from BT TV app: Option not showing

I have only just noticed this today when recording both MotoGP and superbikes on two separate channels so went to watch Le Mans using my tablet to cast to my TV.  The option is not showing if you start watching the channel first.  However it is showing on the listing page.  This omission is unlike all the other usual streaming apps I have used so would like to suggest this as a tweak to the BT TV app.

@gomezz any reason you are using the BT TV App rather than the BT Sport App ?

Can you use the BT Sport app to watch Eurosport live?

In any case a safer way of avoiding spoilers for other sports events I had been recording ready to watch later.

@imjollyNo, not the same issue.  I *can* cast just have to choose to do so before starting to watch a stream.   Not a biggy but it may be catch someone else out who thinks they cannot cast when they can and resign themselves to watching on the small screen device.

This isn't normal behaviour @gomezz - the icon should definitely appear.  I've just tried a few devices here and the icon appears in the top right corner of the player as normal.  Are you able to reproduce this issue now?

Ah!  It is only appearing *after* I tap the screen.

Sorry yes @gomezz - only there on tap of the screen, otherwise it'd just get in the way of watching the video.

Other streaming apps I used show options on swipe down from the top and I was thinking BT TV was the same.

We do try to make the app as familiar as possible @gomezz ... Could you give me an example of another app that behaves like that, and I'll see if we can add that behaviour too.

Sorry again, I have still got it wrong. It is not by swiping but by showing the casting option for a few seconds after starting the stream. BBC iPlayer, All4 and My5 do this as does the MotoGP app. I think NowTV does too but don't currently have an active subscription to check.

My excuse is that I rarely cast BT TV / Sport as I normally watch on my Youview box while at home or directly on the tablet while not in front of the TV.  This time is was a triple record / watch requirement at home that pushed me into it.

(all on an Android tablet I hasten to add.  iUser experience may differ)
