Catch 22 - Primary/only BT email address deleted and can't access MyBT

I rarely used my BT email address (provided when I switched from dial-up to broadband 12 years ago) and never created any sub-accounts. Recently I've discovered that my only account has been deleted after being inactive for a period extending 90 days.

 

I've tried to log-in to MyBT (again, rarely in use) but couldn't remember the password or answer the confounding security question ('What was the name of your first childhood pet' - I don't recall choosing this or why as we never had any pets...). The only other alternative is to send a reset password to the deleted email address, and we're back at square one.

 

I've tried speaking with tech support through Live Chat but the reset password he gave me drew a blank, and locked me out of the account after too many failed attempts.

 

You can guess how madenning this might be.

What is it you are trying to do?

 

If you want to look at your bill or manage your account you could create a new BTID using an email address that you do use as the user name.
