Changed from Option3 to Option 1 and now BB speed is terrible.

I changed my broadband package a few months ago after speaking to a BT advisor who advised that i did not need option 3 (based on my usage history).  Since then, my speed has dropped dramatically and quite often it drops out completely so i have to shut down the browser and start again.

I have run the test and the results are below.  Any ideas what/how i can get this improved as currently i am planning to leave BT if i cannot get it better.

Test1 comprises of two tests

1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.

Download Speed
1068 Kbps

0 Kbps2000 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1068 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 800-2000 Kbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :2048 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 1500 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 9.5:23.2:67.32 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.

The results of this test will vary depending on the way your ISP has decided to use these traffic classes.

2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.

Upload Speed
342 Kbps

0 Kbps448 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed
>Upload speed achieved during the test was - 342 Kbps
 Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 448 Kbps

If you post the full stats from your router
For homehub – type 192.168.1.254 into your browser
Navigate to ADSL Settings or use the A-Z at the top right of the home page and scroll down to ADSL Settings and click on it
Click on More Details and then post the results.

then someone may be able to help and offer more advice.
