Charge for dropping a line so we can fell a tree

Hi folks

Does anyone have any idea, very roughly, how much it costs to have BT engineers to drop a line whilst we fell a tree?  The line is now in the branches, and the tree is a bit unstable so I fear it will fall and take the line with it.

Grateful for any advice.

Hi

I believe that the cost could be around £127.99 as this is the standard visit charge by openreach, you would need to contact them direct for them to undertake the work.

When I asked to speak to Openreach, Retail said I wasn't allowed and had to go through them, despite the fact that they couldn't help (I was requesting a breakdown of Openreach charges). Very, very annoying.

You are wasting your time with BT- they wont put you through becuase they are a load of jobsworth! Your better off doing it your self just disconnect it from the house and drop the cable and put it back exactly as you found it!
