Charged for 2 text messages?

Go to solution
Just looking at my bill and I have been charged 80p for 2 texts! I know I am on unlimited texts and it was not a premium number as it was my brother in law and I have text him before without charges, BT help sends you round in circles as usual?

Have you put emoticons, like :), in any of your texts or sent texts longer than 160 chars? These count as MMS and are not covered by your text allowance but are chargeable at 40 p each.

Only if you have your phone set to convert to MMS if message over 160 characters.
