Charged for a year of un used service!?

Hi there me and my flatmate used BT services in 2013-2014 in our first student property! When we left the property she called up to cancel the service and the advisor on the phone informed her that this had been done, we are now a year later and have received an email stating that we owe a year of payments, we called you guys straight away to explain the situation and since have received an email saying that we still have to pay them as we did not write to close out account? We were not informed that we had to do this when we phoned up to cancel our contract and clearly have not used the service since July 2014? I'm sure this must have been a mistake as clearly the reason we did not write to you was because we were never told we had to when we cancelled so this error was made at your end not at ours! If someone could kindly tell me how we can have this issue resolved it would be much appreciated!

Once the Forum Mods have read your post they will post an invite here, once you reply to them they will take personal ownership of the problem until resolved.

Do not send them a Personal Message as this is the incorrect contact method and cannot be properly tracked also the mod contacted may not be on shift for sometime and this will delay your help.

The forum mods normally reply within 3/5 working days after you have contacted them via their contact form
They will contact you personally by email or phone.
