Charged for phone calls empty house

Go to solution

I have been charged for calls when my house is empty I know this as only me in house and work offshore.

It's on £1.46 I have tried the help chat and got disconnected from the chat. one of the phone calls is 0.01 second long and charged £0.36 for it how does some one make a call for that time. I am one unlimited minutes with my BT mobile so why would I use land line BT help sucks not worth the bloody hassel to try again. Roll on when my contract to and end and I tell bt to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

do you have an alarm system that 'checks in' every so often to ensure it is working?

Have you called the numbers, to see who they belong to?

No I have not called them I know one is a local taxi at 02:00 in the morning and the others I dont hve a clue ********* and  *********** both at 10:49.

So how do I make two calls at the same tine to diffrent numbers

It's BT attitude that **bleep** me off more than anthing.

@organic I've taken down the numbers as it's best not posting this type of info on a public forum.

You might have a crossed line, if you dial 17070 does it read back your own number?

Re: Charged for phone calls empty house

Hi @organic Thanks for taking my call earlier and sorry we got cut off mid discussion.

I've checked your latest bill which was issued yesterday and there are no call charges raised on it. I wanted to check that you had seen these charges on your recent usage online when you checked and now that they bill has been issued with no call charges. If that is correct post back and let me know you are happy that this has been resolved.

If not and you are querying call charges I've missed please advise the best time to call you and I'll be happy to call you back and help with that.

Cheers
John

To JohnC2 I have just checked and now there is no cost against the then there was a cost against the to 3 on the bill on Saturday as I have a print of it in the house. Someone has removed the chargers in the last two days.
I am on train now going back to work **bleep** signal in North Wales it seems to be sorted now and chargers removed
