Hello!
ive recently moved house and switched from EE fibre to BT. we have 3 chromecasts in the house and can’t get a single one to link up to WiFi. It gets through to the connection page and says “can’t be connected you may have to change Wi-fi settings”
ive followed others advise and its changed to only 2.4ghz. I’ve restarted the chromecast and the hub. I’ve switched off smart settings on the hub manager page and it’s still not working!! Any advice before I call BT?
thank you!!
Try turning Smart Setup off.
I’ve already done this and still isn’t connecting. Thanks though
It may be worth seeing if its BT Web Protect which is causing the issue. If you login to MyBT and look at your extras, you may find you need to disable it as I seem to think that Chromecast uses Google Public DNS, and web protect or BT Parental controls may be blocking it.
I assume you have factory reset the chromecasts first?
