Complete wifi and BT TV

Hi,

My Parents currently have BT tv and the youview box is the other end of the house to the BT router. At the moment the youview box is set up using powerline adapters. The signal has gone really poor recently so they can't watch any of the extra channels.

I am wondering would it be best to get complete Wifi and have the disc in the same room as the Youview box and connect the disc to the youview box by ethernet cable ?

Is this possible ?

My understanding is the ethernet port on each disc only allows an input signal not an output, so devices can only connect with discs wirelessly.

If I can locate a spare cable at home I will be able to test this and post the results later - if nobody else posts first with the definitive answer.

The Complete Wi-Fi works if you place it in a place with good signal where it is starting to drop off and then it creates this network again and boosts it on... is there a good wi-fi signal currently in this room?

The ethernet port does work on the back and you can connect devices to it - @Longshanks0511. While not officially recommended / documented by BT.

Have you plugged a laptop into this adapter to see what kind of speeds you get? If you have Netflix, there is a speed test built into that in the help section, if you can’t use a laptop.

One of my boxes is connected to the ethernet port of my Black disc and it works fine.

I've been running mine like that a while now, sometimes the LED on the disc drops to orange but it continues to work
