Re: Connecting Netgear DG834GT to BT

DG team firmware allows more control over your netgear router noise margin - does depend on version of netgear dg834

Re: Connecting Netgear DG834GT to BT

the 834g has a differnet chip in to the 834gt as i understand, you cant alter snr on 834g with dg team f/w

. i have a black sky router which is a 934g or summit like that, i have flashed that to 834g f/w .

there is new f/w on dg home page for 834g but i dont have access to that, not registered so iam not 100% that snr cant be altered.

thanks colin

ps would appreciate the latest 834g f/w if you have it...

Re: Connecting Netgear DG834GT to BT

which version of the dg834g do you have - I think it needs to be v4 to be able to alter NM

that must be the difference.. mines only v2  ..  i  might leave it as infinity is supposed to be here sept 30th  just sick of waiting ,as its been dec 2010, march 2011, june 2011,

thanks for your time, ill try the username in the 834gt ,then ill give it up as a bad job.. i was hoping to use 834gt with infinty, but hopefully close enough to green box ill not need to twiddle and just use bt thingy..

Re: Connecting Netgear DG834GT to BT

the 834gt will not work with infinity - you need a cable router and BT supply a separate modem and HH3 act like a router not modem/router
