Connecting You View & Apple TV

Hi

Just received my new You view box which doesn't have a phone connection socket like my BT vision box had. I used that socket to connect my Apple TV to the internet. How would you suggest I do this now - Split the ethernet connection on the comtrend plug?

Re: Connecting You View & Apple TV

Hi,

If your Apple TV is one of the later versions it can link to your Home Hub by WiFi which is built in.

This of course depending upon conditions e.g. distance to Home Hub / Walls may cause problems (but no cost to try).

Otherwise I guess you could get a five port ehthernet switch/hub and feed this form your Comtrend Plug with two output cables, one to YouView and another to AppleTV.

If you have other network enabled gadgets e.g. your TV or Blu-Ray player you could also connect these.

Such a device can be purchased for under £10.00
