Hi, I have just upgraded to BT infinity and was talked into the benefits of BT Sport so now have that too>
My new hub is on its way and I am told that must be plugged into the master socket. (my current hub in plugged into another phone socket next to the BT TV box and works fine)
My question is with infinity and BT Sport does the hub have to be plugged into the masted socket which is 20 metres from the TV, and I do not want a lead running over the floor! Will it not work as at present plugged into a secondary phone socket?
What are these broadband extenders all about? Are they the answer to my prayers? Thanks in advance!
The chances are if your old hub works fine with ADSL in another socket, so will Infinity. Try it first before doing anything.
Yep, but I think you will be OK. You might lose a small amount of speed.
