Connecting wireless to BT TV

Hi folks,
I am unable to use the electric sockets as poor internal wiring to connect from router to vision box. And running network cable through the house isn't an option.
I've been reading up on using a wireless access point set as client mode. Has anyone done this and does it work?

Hi Randel.

I've tried it with an old Sky Wireless Booster and it works, the only problem I can think of with this method is that the client automatically assumes the same wi-fi channel as your router and effectively halves the data transfer rate

Can you not run an Ethernet cable through the wall and run it to where you want it to be on the outside of the building?

Thanks for the reply Victor, I have a OCD issue with cables everywhere and due to the layout of the apartment until I can network the whole place wireless is the route I fancy. My internet speed is settled at around the 85mb so fingers crossed I should be ok.
Once setup I'll post again. Wanted to check before I bought the access point etc.
