Connection Dropouts Everyday
So, I currently live in an extension off the main property and before getting a 2nd line installed i would use the main house broadband (home hub 5) but connection would always drop out and i believed it to be due to the thickness of the wall seperating the extension from main house which is considerably BIG! where we would only get the tip end of the wifi. I finally decided it was time we ordered our own broadband (home hub 6) an just before christmas 4 engineer appointments later we had a 2nd line into the extension and were connected but the nightmare disconnects still happen and "usually" between 10pm & 1am but can happen at anypoint these are just the most consistent timings. Now the disconnects usually blink orange for maybe 10-30 seconds and then comes back blue but can happen between 1 or 10+ times before it'll settle other times have been for upto 45 minutes and have gone green or purple on the hub. I recently reported this to BT and an engineer came out this week on Tuesday and did tests on the line and found a fault 69m away with noise on the line and got a cherry picker out same day and replaced the drop cable, I was hopeful this was the end of the disconnects but everyday since it has dropped out exactly the same with no difference and i've heard of problems with the homehub 5 + 6 but is it too coincidental that both of our routers are naff? I check the router logs immediately after disconnects but too be honest i'm not techy enough where i can determine where it's telling me the problem so i'll put it below incase it helps.

Try quiet line test. Dial 17070 option 2. Should be quiet and best with corded phone
if hh6 then go to advanced settings then technical log admin and post stats

Thanks for the quick responce also i don't use a phone on my line but when the engineers came out there was noise but once they replaced the drop cable from the house to the box situated on the 2nd pole from the house they confirmed it had gone.

Ok, I accept that but the mainhouse and their router use a phone and their dropouts still occur similar to ours so i'm going to assume this probably isn't the cause.

Sounds more like interference from something in the house - electrical - central heating or similar

Nothing else is on in either side of the household between the usual disconnect times of 10pm & 1am as everyone is normally asleep at these times except myself. Heating comes on 6am, midday & 6pm.
