I switched back to BT around 6 weeks ago and recived the home hub 4 with an adsl connection. For the first 4 weeks it was excellent and I had a very stable connection but over the last 1 -2 weeks it has slowly deteriated. At first I was getting slow connections at random times once or twice a day but now it happens 6-7 times a day (5-10 minutes at a time) and sometimes even leads to a total disconnection.
I know it's not what others are doing on the network as I'm the only one connected and I know it's not the hardware as I've tested my laptop, desktop and smart phone at the bad times and they all have limited or no connection.
I've tried chaging the filters and power cyclng the hub. I've also tested the hub in the master socket and the problem still carried on.
Do I need to book an engineer visit or can I fix it myself somehow?
I have the same problem, and when i'm on a phonecall I hear rarely weird sounds sometimes unbareably loud an from the other end my voice quality is really bad. Would disconnecting the phones temporarily fix thisuntil an engineer visits?
I would suggest you post vthe information john46 requested in your other post
edit to save confusion I have merged both together
