on some occasions the problem is wireless based and not there when using a wired connection just trying to get the maximum information from you to try and help with your problem

My PC doesn't have a wifi card, it is connected to the router with a cable and the router is connected to the master socket with another cable, both of which are less than 2m long and both of which I have swapped on numerous occasions to appease the poor souls in India.

It is exasperating...

Have you tried the quiet line test dial 17070 option 2 you should hear no noise if you can hear noise then it needs reporting to BT faults on 151 with no mention of broadband in the call also have you tried connecting the hub to the test socket using a new filter

Thanks. Had two here and still no joy.

In my opinion this is a downhill slide for broadband as we know it, too many people doing too much on a tiny fibre strand and a thin piece of copper or worse still aluminium.

Without major investment we will end up with 56K. But I am no engineer.
