Hi Allan Quartermain.
Thanks for your reply.
My iPhone does not have an SD card
I have reset network settings to no avail
The battery, as far as I know is inaccessible to me.
I have reached the stage of requesting a replacement sim card which is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.
Apologies: I think Android, and forget the battery in the i phone is fixed. Sorry.
The battery in my HTC One M8 is only replaceable with major surgery, AQ. So Androids are catching up, or dropping back depending on your point of view.
I have received and inserted the replacement nano sim from BT. about 4 hours ago. and activated. The voice mail red blob immediately disappeared. Exonerates Apple then?
I am still unable to set up voice mail other than to dial 1571. I did send a phone message to my-self, let is go through and left a message. The digit 1 in red appeared but the voice said 'there are no messages'. The red 1 faded away.
I'm happy the replacement sim solved the Red Blob problem but yet to find out whether any genuine voicemails are processed correctly.
Happy to cofirrm that he replacement sim appears to have worked in that the constant red blob is no longer.
That's great I'm glad it's sorted now. I've fed this back to the mobile team.
Yes I'm pleased it's sorted too.
One thread worth noting here though, these smartphones only work if a two bob sim works properly. I recall a not disimilar issue with my provider when they sent a replacement sim. That didnt solve it but the second replacement did.
