Constantly dropping connection

Hi, my broadband drops constantly, several times a day. I believe it is due to  poor wiring as it seems to droop when I am in certain areas of the house. I have a very old junction box with loose wiring. To get this investigated or fixed is it BT responsibility or mine?

Re: Constantly dropping connection

If its in your wiring, then its your responsibility, otherwise you will be charged for the visit.

This link should help.

Avoiding a possible £130 charge for an Openreach visit

See if it works at the test socket, if yo have one.

Re: Constantly dropping connection

Hi Keith, I think it's the wire from the junction box. It's very old and battered, is this still the same? How do I determine when it becomes my responsibility?

thanks

Re: Constantly dropping connection

You are responsible for any wiring after the master socket, which will be one of the ones shown on my website page.
