Contract up for renewal getting confused by advice!

Go to solution

Hi

Our contract is up for renewal in a weeks time and I am getting very confused about the suggestions I have received for 'best deals' when I have contacted support and the values team!

I explain - we live in a very rural location which is out of the reach of fibre - unless we pay quite a lot of money to Open Reach (done lots of research and our local MP also helped as well)
At present we are on an unlimited Broadband package with Unlimited phone calls on our landline.
We have one mobile sim on the 15GB Extra Speed 4G plan
£12 with £5 broadband discount
Broadband Unlimited and Calls
£29.99
Unlimited Minutes Add on
£14.61
We also have BT Web Protect and BT Virus Protect for free
And BT Halo 1
We are being offered to renew with the Broadband and Calls reduced to £24.99
Saving us £5
But it appears that we will be charged for BT Virus Protect?
Is that correct...
Also an advisor said that if we take the new Contract we lose our BT Halo 1 benefits
And the mobile sim (for our daughter) could lose the 15GB date when her phone contract ends in June!
Completely adrift with what to do!

Any advice appreciated

Phone BT options team who deal with renewals and they will help you.  If you don't like what they offer you don't need to accept. 0800800030

If you come off halo you would lose the free extra licenses for virus protect & go back to 2 free only plus the double data benefit on the sim with the halo each month would stop as well

Gary
So is it best just to renew the contract without the 'suggestions'?
Does that mean the existing deal continues automatically?
Curious why I am being offered a 'better' BB deal which from you what you clearly say is no such thing!
I think the only factor must be because we are sub normal BB customers! Max download is 1.5!
