Copying photos into BT Emails from Apple computer

I have a persistent issue with not being able to paste a photo from my Apple photos into a BT email.

When I copy a photo from Apple, I am not given a choice of file size (Large, Medium etc). Then when I paste it into a BT email I always get

The message cannot be saved because the body exceeds 300 KB characters

as a message.

Any advice on how to get round this?

If you 'export' the photo from 'Apple Photos' you can choose the file type and size you want. Then you can add it to your email. Or you could use the Apple Mail client which does give you the choice of size.

Or just simply add it as an attachment rather than embedding it.
