Re: Court case forces Openreach to turn off Dynamic Line Management

not really the network is really really well built internal routing is simply amazing. so p2p games on consoles etc run really well.

there routing is much better that it was with 20cn and 21cn adsl.

tbh there doing a top job.

everyone is going to get issues. you would rather have 8 ms delay instead of **bleep** loads of lost packets and poor throughput.

Re: Court case forces Openreach to turn off Dynamic Line Management

Yea Vectoring is being rolled out on all compatable cabs from Jan onwards.

ive heard its a simple drop in board and a reflash.

after that with the new profiles DLM is useless anyway,

Where did you get information that it would be rolled out in January?

Re: Court case forces Openreach to turn off Dynamic Line Management

it takes 10 resyncs in 24hrs to trigger DLM. so rebooting twice did nothing.

your line simply can not keep fastpath because of errors its never going to change unless the line is replaced/repaired.

ive seen clean lines syncing at 29mbit on fastpath so its all about the errors and inp..

if you get CRCs more than 10 per day you going interleave...

the information is from a very reliable source that works for openreach.

once the rollout of vecotoring has completed a certain stage the new packages will launch with upto 100mbps speed but the upstream is staying at 20 for home....

That all depends which DLM profile you're on, and it's ES not CRCs that are counted

Disconnections are also counted

Better tell your source.

Re: Court case forces Openreach to turn off Dynamic Line Management

lol my source is fine i never said anything about ES.

i said more than 10crc errors will auto put you on interleave.

the thresholds for ES seem to be random some lines work fine and some lines trigger it must be as per cab based maybe how the cab has been setup..

Re: Court case forces Openreach to turn off Dynamic Line Management

As I tried to explain before - CRCs aren't counted by DLM, ES are.
It's not per cab, instead it depends on what DLM Profile you're on.

Re: Court case forces Openreach to turn off Dynamic Line Management

I get CRC errors no matter what my profile is on and I certainly get more than 10 and it's never just disconnected me and given me interleave, all lines are going to be affected by noise in some way, ray what is the cause of ES errors, noise? Or something else.
