Hello,
I have Queried with Experian that the information regarding my account/default is incorrect and should be removed. I have a default sitting on my account for my final bill since November 2016.
A Few things about this account,
1-from moving in we had issues getting our internet set up with you guys and getting an engineer out to repair the issue
2- at said property we were only allowed to use BT despite not wanting to
3- we eventually got your engineer out and set up around 6/7months AFTER moving in
4- you are reporting on my credit file I owe you £205.16, yet in your response to Experian have claimed I have paid some to a debt settlement agency and only owe £39.38, although I can’t recall when and who I paid this figure to, and if so why are you not reporting to my credit file that I owe £39 as opposed to £205
5- I have made NUMEROUS attempts to speak about this account since November 2016 and had nothing but trouble and issues from BT customer service and get told I Do not have an account and I basically do not exist!
6- This account has caused me upmost stress and anxiety and has played a huge role in me being unable to obtain credit from certain companies and impacted my credit score for the past4-5 years despite (I say again) NUMEROUS times to get this resolved!!
Please make contact with me to get this resolved and REMOVED from my credit file in total!
Many Thanks,
J-P Ramsey

Hi @jpram32,
Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post!
I'm sorry for the confusion getting a default removed from your credit file. The process is to raise a dispute with Equifax directly. The following page, from their website, explains the process in more detail: How can I dispute information on my Equifax Credit Report?
Cheers,
Robbie
Hi @jpram32, sorry that you have not managed to resolve this yet. The BT Equifax disputes team has a process in place with both Equifax and Experian where they deal with the BT Equifax Disputes team direct and work on behalf of the customer to resolve the issue. The BT Equifax Disputes team will review all of the information and respond directly to Equifax or Experian who in turn update the customer.
If your previous dispute has been closed please raise a new dispute and I've sent you a Private Message with details on how to contact the Mod team and we'll be happy to help you further.
Cheers
John
