It looks like an automated process is moving our Cabinet go live dates forward.
For the last year the following happens.
Checked using, http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
* Go live date set to end of a month.
* Everytime, 3 days before the go live date, at midnight the go live date moves to the end of the following month.
Cabinet 2 on DERBY exchange has had an infinity cabinet next to it for over 6 months now. We know its got power and fibre back to DERBY exchange because we've asked the openreach guys working on it. Given the conversations with the Openreach guys on the ground it appears some internal paperwork/process/form is all that is stopping it going live. (No technical reason for it not to be live now was the last comment a few weeks back).
Has anyone got any ideas about how to wake the person/department/team up at BT into clicking the go live button or signing off the right bit of paper??
Someone from BT or Openreach is reading this because in the 30mins since I posted the go live date has advanced to August. (last night it was 30 June, this morning July, and now we are August).
Not my address but the cabinet is closest to 1 BELPER ROAD, DERBY, DE1 3BP. Which is now showing August on the checker..... (Person reading this at BT you're clicking the wrong button click the June one).
Its now showing 30-Sep-13... However check the same number or address a few seconds later and we get 30-Jun-13, a page refresh and we get July, another refresh and we get August, another refresh and we get September, another and we are back to June...
I can only assume the checker is fed by a number of databases which are not in sync.....
BT You've invented a new Game - Infinity Bingo
The checker is now showing 30-Jun-13, even after a few tries, its happy at 30-Jun-13 for Cab 2 DERBY.
As of 00:02 this morning the checker now shows 30-Sep-13..... Oh well.. Virgin Media here we come.
