DLM rest

Go to solution

Hi all

I would just like to know if their is any other way to get a DLM reset other than having to get an engineer out, because DLM has capped my down and uploadspeed.

Thankyou

No, there is no other way. How do you know it is DLM that has capped your speeds. DLM is an automated process and can take two or three weeks to slowly put the speed back up. What was the problem that caused DLM to do this and has the problem been resolved. If it hasn't DLM will just put the speed back down again.

EDIT: Presumably this is related to this post of yours.

DLM has done that because you have a line fault.

You will need an engineer to attend your house to fix the fault, then he can request a DLM reset.

In the absence of a fault, DLM will remove the cap automatically anyway, but a reset would speed things up.

Hi thank you very much for your responses.

So I take it I will be charged for an engineer visit then or does it depend on the issue.

Thankyou

Only if the problem is your fault, i.e. extension wiring or damage.
