DNS issue accessing http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/

Go to solution

I'm getting a DNS error message when trying to access the bbc/news URL :

"You're seeing this page because BT Parental Controls is active and you are attempting to connect to a DNS server outside of our network. You may have selected a different server in your network settings or installed an application that uses an alternative service.Click here to find out how to fix this"

However if I go to other pages, e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-30685174, or http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/, or http://www.bbc.co.uk it all works fine. It's only that particular page.

This has only recently started to happen, I have deleted Parental Controls, restarted both my PC and router and flushed DNS settings.

Really annoying. Any ideas?

Thanks

Did you uninstall Parental Controls not just delete/ de-activate them?

Found that I didn't get the issue when in Chrome 'incognito' mode. So I deleted all the cookies which resolved the issue.
