So that would suggest the Hub DNS server is OK. Do you Parental Controls enabled as this would stop you using the Google DNS servers. See Link http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/46768#turnoff for how to check / disable.

Well I checked and parental controls weren't even set up as this was the first time I even looked at the extras for the account so it can't be that.

It could, of course, just be extremely severe congestion or problem in the backhaul.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to where we're at. Can you just humour me and from a PC command line run the following:

 

- ping 8.8.8.8

- ping bbc.co.uk

- ipconfig /all

 

And then copy / paste the output from that here?
