Dead phone.

My phone line is dead. No dial tone. Nada! My internet connection on AOL is working fine.

Last year when I got one of those annoying sales calls from BT I got angry with the girl on the line. She was in Liverpool. Out of spite she was able to disconnect me there and then and it took me a day to get re-connected!

Why are they able to do this? I feel this may have happened again after shouting at a sales person recently not realising it was BT again!

What can I do to get re-connected. Can't do a line test because you have to do it from another computer! How useless is that?

They don't supply a number that I can call on my mobile. Hopeless.

Re: Dead phone.

Hiya,

Call this number off your mobile 0330 1234 151 to report it. (it will count as minutes off your contract or charged as a local rate call)

Re: Dead phone.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Can I suggest a simple check before you call BT or your service supplier.

have a look here If, after doing the checks you need to contact BT, give them a call on the previous post phone number.

It could save you £127.99 !!!!!
