There have been other reports of problems trying to delete emails so you are not alone.
Try clearing the browser's history and cookies. It might not help but it is always worth trying as a first step.
If that doesn't help, as a work around try selecting the emails you want to delete by ticking the box to the left of the emails in your list then drag and drop them in the Trash folder.
