I cannot find an answer to this.
A member of my family havea BT land line and Broadband from another company.
The BT master is the origonal LJU 2 and not an NTE.
When they are converted to DV will what will happen.
Who will provide the router?
Who will provide the telephone line?
If the third party supply the router then how will the telephone work.
If BT supply the router then how will the third party broadband work.
BT have stated that they own the Smart Hub 2 so I cannot see how the third party supplier can use it.
Is there a simple solution to this?
Solved! Go to Solution.

Yes, move to a single supplier for voice and broadband.
Alternatively, have broadband without a telephony component and use a third party VOIP provider.
So much for a competitive market place.
Thanks for the quick answer.
Strange comment, there is still a competitive market place.
Technology has moved on, in the future telephony will only be provided by broadband, not as a separate technology.
It has not been possible for new customers to have separate suppliers for telephony and broadband via the same metallic path for some time now. It is a dwindling legacy system.
