I recently ordered and had installed Fibre 250 - FTTP. When it was installed we were given an analogue phone line. We didn't have an active phone line at the time as we gave it up when ADSL wasn't working.
The installing engineer suggested I contact BT and ask for Digital Voice (they had problems with the copper line which is why we ditched it in the first place).
I don't know why BT didn't order Digital Voice at the time, but when I got back to them they said I would have to cancel this order - 5 weeks - then be without internet or phone for 3 weeks while they arranged another install.
This is madness! Surely they can commission Digital Voice on a new FTTP install?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Depends if it’s available to you yet.
Engineer says it is. We've got FTTP. Can you clarify your response please?
Engineers say a lot.
How can I get Digital Voice?
To begin with, we're offering Digital Voice only in certain scenarios to manage the number of customers moving over.
When you place an order, we'll let you know if you're eligible and take you through the benefits so you can decide whether or not to move across to Digital Voice at this time. If you have special services, such as a monitored burglar alarm or health pendant, you won't be able to have Digital Voice just yet.

I usually write straight to the point answers.
Never been one for babbling on about things that aren’t relevant.
Not quite sure why people try to offer help when they get that sort of response when they do.
