Dire Infinity speeds

Go to solution

I was watching film 4 on the 4 on demand website when it cut out because there was insufficent bandwidth. I restarted thought nothing of it then it did it again. I've so far done 3 non-bt speed test all of them are coming in under 10mb. I should be getting 75. I've done 3 bt speed tester tests and am getting the same but I can't do the test with the speedtester email address because it times out and doesn't load. I followed all the instructions, switched off anti-virus etc, restarted modem/router but the speed remains around 10mb: http://192.168.1.254/html/troubles/event_log.html I've checked the status, there seems to be no problems in my area.

Also done the glasnost test on streaming video (see below). Any suggestions on how to resolve this? I am using an ethernet cable to connnect to the router.

Re: Dire Infinity speeds

Do a speedtes here, click on further diagnostics once the first test has finished and post the full results of the second test.

Re: Dire Infinity speeds

I did that three times, I can't do the third part of the test. I used the BT Chat thing and they told me to call tech support if it wasn't resolved in a few days. Few days later I'm back to watching Channel 4 online and low and behold it keeps cutting out.

Tried calling tech support but they're apparently very busy but could hold my call in the queue for me.

Tried to run the second part of the diagostic test - it crashed out for me - told me I needed to log in as speed test domain. When I log in as speedtest domain it can't find the page. I tried again and now I'm getting error #2032.

I can't do part 2 of the test keeps telling me to log in as speedtester but speedtester either doesn't load or gives me an error message. This is the second part of the test I did on sunday. I have to assume this is the same because the speeds are the same.btspeed2.JPG

Re: Dire Infinity speeds

Yeah so I used the contact us form - the only one I could see both in IE and firefox is the one that is visible above the forums. Appears to go to the India call centre - at the second attempt. Have told me there is nothing wrong with my speed. I should schedule my self for chat with them if I'm still having a problem. Oh and my person favourite I'm obviously using wireless... this is despite me filling in a form to say the reverse is true.

Yes, I clicked. There is no contact us form other than the main one.
