Disappointed new user

I have swapped from Sky to Bt after ages of decision
I should have the whole package including Bt sport
I get broadband dropping all the time and seven channels
I am a bloke who can get around things ok but totally deflated with things - this should have been such an easy process and annoyed as this was the competition I chose to move to

Re: Disappointed new user

Is it fibre broadband or adsl and did you move your broadband from Sky to BT ? The missing channels are they freeview or the extra subscription channels? How is your box connected to your home hub?

Re: Disappointed new user

Hello - I don’t have my Bt sports which is part of my package - I have always had Bt infinity but don’t use a Bt router as I prefer netgear - my current model is a nighthawk r800 - thanks for your offer to help

Re: Disappointed new user

Does that router support multicasting ? I’m not familiar with it I’m afraid. First port of call would be to test it with a HomeHub.

Re: Disappointed new user

@Jonty1993

Extra channels are delivered over multicast, and your router may not support it. You will need to try the BT Home hub to see if that works.

If it does, then you need to look at you Netgear one to see if there are any options for multicast.

You should be able to get all of the FreeView channels, as they are delivered down your TV aerial. There are over 100 channels. If you are not getting them, check the signal level on the BT YouView box.

Re: Disappointed new user

Is there any noise on your phone calls? Dial 17070 and select option 2, there should be no noise between the announcements.
