Re: Disappointed new user

Check your router setup, make sure this check box is clear (No Tick) Advanced > Setup > WAN Setup > Disable IGMP Proxying

Re: Disappointed new user

That was the right route - thanks - I ticked the Bt proxying box and the internet hasn’t dropped in the last five minutes - thanks very much -,Next mission is to get my subscription package to be recognised - should have Bt sports and Liverpool playing soon 😱 I am still unsure as to why I only have a handful of freeview channels but can only guess this is an aerial issue

Re: Disappointed new user

Freeview are frequently adding new channels, re-structuring and moving things around. It might be worth trying a re-tune of your box if channels are missing. Your box gives a good indication of signal quality of the channel you're watching in Settings > TV signal quality. Note that signal quality is more important than strength

Re: Disappointed new user

Things are looking good - I have 18 aerial and 109 subscription channels along with a proper front end screen - thanks for all your help - Gemma don’t know if you did anything but it all came back during yesterday - I think the really key thing was the router setting - it’s a shame the package ‘assumes’ you have a Bt router as that is a real curve ball - if I didn’t have the nounce to ask on this forum I would be either stuck on five channels and a forever dropping internet link or sending the box back - the one thing I do need to try now is the app as that didn’t work before

Re: Disappointed new user

You should have a lot more than 18 channels over aerial, you should have the same number as if you were watching with the aerial plugged straight into the TV. Have you tried re-tuning the Youview box?

Re: Disappointed new user

Do you happen to know if your in a freeview or freeview lite area? If your using a relay you’ll likely get less channels but you should still get more than 18. Just to confirm are you using an outdoor or indoor aerial? (Sorry if you’ve posted this already)
