Re: Disappointed new user

If you have only got 18 aerial channels maybe worth checking at at800 website to see if 4g is potentially the issue.

Re: Disappointed new user

Is that the same as you get on your TV without the box connected? if so then that's a result

Re: Disappointed new user

It’s an attic aerial - have used a signal finder which suggests the signal could be a lot better 59 dBuV

Re: Disappointed new user

Assuming all the Freeview channels are available in your area (you can check on the freeview website and on digitaluk.co.uk), you would be able to receive many more Freeview channels with a rooftop aerial but you have to weigh that up against the cost which is not that cheap these days.

I have been informed I have marked this as an accepted solution - far from it

it’s a shame the package ‘assumes’ you have a Bt router

Curious to know what specific features do you need that BT hubs dont offer ? I can't really think of any off hand, maybe remote login for management but certainly not a lot.

BT are pretty good with firmware updates ( as if their lives depended on it !) An they support BT Wifi / FON which is a fantastic service.

Finally you sometimes get the 'if it turns out to be a fault on your equippment we'll charge you £200' line from them so definiatly don't get an engineer out with out connecting the BT hub !

ISTR you used to have to buy your new router for £100 can't see any problems with BT ones, BT even replace faulty onse for free if you are on contract.
