Disconnection issues.

Hi everyone.

 

First of all I like BT but this is a very annoying issue I'm having.

The issue we are experiencing is that sometimes, at random the whole BT Home Hub goes into a standstill.
Wifi dies, and everything else. When this happens I've tried to connect my laptop to the BT Home Hub with the TP-cable that is provided by BT. This doesn't work either:
1) No DHCP
1.1) I reconfigure to use manual IP with the following settings:
1.1.1) ip: 192.168.1.33
1.1.2) netmask: 255.255.255.0
1.1.3) Router: 192.168.1.254

1.2) When doing this I still cannot ping the BT Home hub.

 

This is my second place in separate areas, with brand new BT Home Hubs that we experience this problem.

 

The only way to "fix" this problem to get back online is to restart it.

 

If anyone has any ideas please give me a post back.

Same thing is happening with my hub and I'm connected by an ethernet cable (see my post on this forum earlier this evening and what bt told me).   I got a brand new hub today and now it's happening with THAT one too.

So many of us are having these problems that it's difficult to believe that they are all due to our equipment at home!
