Hi all
I'm trying to give my partner permission to change my account email passwords.
I've successfully added her as an account manager BUT it seems that the manager role does not have access to manage the 6 email accounts.
This seems to disagree with the BT guidance, which says that the account manager has "Access some BT Extras such as BT Email, TrueKey and BT Virus Protect". So maybe I'm doing something wrong?
When I log in to the BT account as Account Holder, then click the Email button in the top banner, I'm taken immediately to the list of emails with access to manage them. When I log in as Account Manager, clicking the Email button gives me an error message in red saying that I'm not logged in to emails - so Click here.
When I do that, I successfully log in to her solo email account, NOT to the page to manage the list of 6 email accounts. There seems to be no obvious access to the other 5 email accounts.
So - if the BT guidance is correct, what am I doing wrong? Perhaps the key is that not all of the 6 email addresses are the (new) BT Email. Several are still BT Yahoo. Does that make a difference?
Any ideas please
Cheers
Edit - Of course I could just give her my BT ID and password and the issue is solved, but she doesn't like to have to remember multiple sign-in's, so using her own BT ID is preferable.

Despite what BT say about an account manager, as far as I know only the account holder can manage email accounts that have not been gifted to another person.
@gg30340 Thx for that. I did spend quite a lot of time (as Account Manager) trying to resolve this, but finally suspected that the BT guidance was wrong - not me!
It is very useful that you mention gifting to another person. I've imported addresses before, but not considered gifting. However, I can't find much clarity on the consequences of doing that. It appears that the address still counts as one of my allowed 11, but I'm not sure what control I retain - if any.
I guess I'll have to create a test address and experiment with it.
Cheers
Hi @WhiskyWerrington, the gifted email address will still count as one of your 11 addresses however, it becomes the responsibility of the person you gift it to and they manage it from their own BT ID.
Thx @NeilO . Very useful, I'll gift an address 😁.
May I respectfully suggest that the BT guidance on the account manager role is modified. It appears to me that the manager has neither access to, nor control over, any of the email addresses (unless gifted).
This page confused me a little
Unless I'm wrong, of course?
Cheers WW
