Does BT Sport through a browser need any special settings?

Hi,

Just replaced my HH3 with a TP-Link C9, and have tried to watch BT Sport online via a browser but it doesn't stream properly. It starts ok in low def, then eventually moves to HD, then the circle starts spinning. It comes back in low def then proceeds to jump forwards/backwards in time. Basically unwatchable. Amazon, NOW TV, Netflix, iPlayer etc all run fine in highest HD settings.

Is this normal quality for BT Sport online? I must confess i haven't tried to watch it in a while. Does BT Sport need special settings? In the browser, router etc? Flash etc is all up to date.

I have seen issues with IPTV / IGMP and not using a HH, but i am not trying to use the BT TV box, just BTsport.com

On what device with what OS and what browser?

And how connected to the internet?

I suspect you have speed problem with your connection.

This is on Windows 10 with Edge or Firefox. I have BT Infinity 3 FTTP.

Speedtest says:

 

This is actually a bit slow, it's normally just over 200Mbps.

Am streaming the football on NOW TV at the moment and it's perfect..

Suggest when you get a chance to try swapping the HH3 back in to see if the problem goes away.

There is a dedicated BT Sport app in the Windows 10 store, (better than the online player by a country mile). Try that first.
