Does upgrading from FTTC to G.fast require an engineer visit?

Hi hope everyone is well.

I have been toying with the idea of upgrading from FTTC to G.fast but would like to know if this would require an engineer or would a self install kit be sent out.

It requires a visit, so its not going to happen at the moment.

Thanks for the quick reply I only asked because I was told last year self installs were being tested and should be available in the first quarter of 2020, obviously this was incorrect information.

I wouldnt want an engineer at the moment, let alone expect one to be sent which is why I was hoping for self install....
