Dolby Atmos working currently on BT Ultimate?

We've made Apple aware of an issue with their devices decoding some Atmos channels incorrectly, but my understanding was it was just with the rear channels. I'll ask if there were any known issues with commentary mixing.

All Heinikin Rugby matches on Ultimate have not been in Atmos on either the BT TV or Apple TV platform, DD+ only. Watchin Exeter match now on Ultimate, no Atmos.

There is still a bug with the Dolby Atmos match commentary on the Spurs vs Leeds game, coming from the surround speakers via ATV.

The build-up and half-time analysis were correctly coming through the centre channel so it seems to be an issue only during the game.

This has happened in every match that has been made available in Atmos since the beginning of last month. Hopefully it can be resolved before crowds are let back in as clearly Atmos is redundant in an empty stadium apart from the occasional PA announcement over the tannoy.

@MartiniMurphy @felty99 that's now 2 reports we've had of this, however we have a range of devices and haven't experienced this issue ourselves. We're confident that the content is correct, so we now need to try to identify hardware that is misbehaving.

We're putting together a test asset for the app that you can use to verify your setup.

Looks like BT Sport are only doing Atmos for football. Fortunately, I’m a Rugby fan and the DD+ through my setup is fine.  Also, BT are providing a much better picture quality than Sky on sport events.

I know nothing has changed but just to report the game just about to start Man City vs BHA had the same issue. The build up was in Atmos with all the channels correct.  As soon as they handed over to the commentator the voices came out of the surround channels (side speakers in a 7.1.4 setup)    Switched the amp to Stereo to make it watchable.

Dolby Atmos was working on the app which the Amazon Fire Tv uses.  In order to watch in HDR it needs the app . However, having got the Atmos to work on the BT box it no longer works on the app. It seems BT only want one of their features to work and not two !

It's currently turned off in the app due to the VC019 error at every ad break. I was testing a fix yesterday, but it's not quite ready yet. We hope to have an update available next week so that we can turn Atmos back on
