Dolby Atmos working currently on BT Ultimate?

Anyone able to confirm if Dolby Atmos was active this weekend on BTtv platform for Ultimate for the live stuff?

Atmos is currently only available from the BT TV set top box. It's not currently available in apps or from any other devices.

I know it is only available on BTtv box and VM box  -  but is it currently working as it didn't seem to be active?

It’s not worked for me on BT TV since there were sound issues with the Europa League games in August (possibly an unrelated coincidence?). I’ve seen many reports of the same on Virgin Media forums and Twitter. Not sure what’s up with it..?

The rugby is working fine - but it doesn't seem to beon football even though it is advertised in their listings.

Although BT are constantly showing adverts about Dolby Atmos the last six matches I’ve seen have been in standard surround sound.

Stumbled upon this thread as I've recently got a new Sony soundbar (Dolby Atmos) for the purposes of BT Sport ultimate (and Netflix). I also purchased the latest HDMI (2.1) Atmos compatible cables. The BT UHD box is connected to the TV HDMI1 and then the HDMI2 (eARC) on the TV is the return back to the soundbar. All works fine but I've not seen any Atmos from the BT box at all. The Netflix app on the Samsung TV does activate Atmos on the soundbar so I know it works!

 

Any ideas or does the BT YV UHD box no longer work with Atmos?

The box does still do Dolby Atmos but the excuse BT use for the football is the broadcaster they use is not broadcasting in Dolby Atmos  currently. As if they don’t have any control over the broadcasters .

Hmmmmm, not happy about that after forking out for a new soundbar/cables based upon the constant Atmos advertising by BT!!!!!!

Some matches are in Atmos, but today's is only 5.1
