Double NAT on fttp connection

Hi,

I’ve been going back and forth with Ubisoft in regards to a connection that keeps dropping. After running various ping and tracert tests they have suggested that I have a double NAT issue.

All of the required ports have been forwarded and I have even placed the console into the DMZ.

I’ve just been on the phone to BT fibre to ask that they enable bridge mode, but according to them this is not possible with a fttp Openreach box and BT Smart Hub.

Is this correct and, if so, how do I get around this issue?

You are not double natting, you only have one router the ONT is just an optical modem.

You cannot have double NAT as you are only using one router, the hub. The FTTP ONT is only a modem translating the light signal into a form the router can read.
