Downgrading Broadband Package

Go to solution

If I want to downgrade from Unlimited Infinity 2 to Unlimited Infinity Broadband package because I don't need the faster speed and i want to cut costs, how do I do it. There is only the facility to upgrade a service but never to downgrade one.

You can not downgrade online because if you are still in contract, downgrading from a higher cost package to a lower cost package can cost you in cancellation fees. This is because you are ending one contract and taking out a new one on a lower tariff.

If you phone BT on the number given above they will no doubt explain this to you but if not you should ask if there will be cancellation fees so that they don't come as a surprise if they are levied.

OK, thanks. Where can I find out when my current package expires?

Again phone the options team and they will be able to tell you when you ask about downgrading
